A Sullivan County tradition kicked off Thursday night. The Shelburn Community Festival, formerly Old Fashioned Days, is this weekend.
The festival has been a summertime staple for more than twenty years. There's food, rides and music. There is a parade Saturday at 11 a.m.
Organizers say the festival provides an opportunity to bring the community together.
"It is fun. Especially because I've lived here all my life so just seeing everybody that you know, that's the fun part," says Alice Ann Goodman, one of the event's organizers.
Our own Kellie Bartoli and Morgan Moore hosted the Shelburn Little Miss Pageant Friday. Caylee Shorter, 6, was crowned the winner.
